Career In Design

Career In Design

Students who aspire to build a career in Design should start at 9th, 10th, 11th or 12th appearing class. Design from reputed institute like NID leads to better grooming, job prospects and opportunities in Design Industry. Every year many students are qualifying for NID and other top Design colleges like MITID, Srishti which offers the similar courses. Every Design exam follow the same pattern Design Aptitude test in 1st Phase which is of 50% and then 2nd phase is of Studio Test, Portfolio Preparation and Interview. We have comprehensive coaching for both phases exams. You need to follow highly experience faculties from the different background like Design, Architecture, Fine Arts and analytical skills to create an environment for developing their skills and give complete idea about NID, IIT and other Design schools exam preparation.

NATA – National Aptitude Test in Architecture, measures the aptitude of the applicant for specific field of study, i.e. Architecture.

The National Aptitude Test in Architecture (NATA) is a national level examination for admission to undergraduate courses in Architecture. The test measures mathematical skills, drawing and observation skills, sense of proportion, aesthetic sensitivity and critical thinking ability that have been acquired over a long period of time, and that are related to specific field of study, i.e. Architecture.

You can refer to the following points for DAT:
.Be Creative

Obviously. This cannot be taught in any coaching classes or books or whatever, Think out of the box.Think of all the crazy ideas even though they might be silly(humor is also an added advantage sometimes)

·Speed Sketching
Practice speed sketching cause there are lot of questions and you have less time to think and execute.Practice practice practice, you won't break your wrist while speed drawing so stretch your limits. Ask your friend to give a random topic and you sketch it as fast as you can.

·Choose drawing over writing
Although some questions do give you an option to write your answer or illustrate i'd suggest you sketch down your answers as this will have an advantage over written answers.

·Current Affairs
Even though there was only one question (4 sub questions) last year that tested your GK ,you don't want to lose marks on such things so go through all the current affairs for the past one-two years.

·Coloring is an added value
Some questions compulsorily require colors and you can't bypass that but for questions that don't really need any colors ,adding them would be an advantage, But i suggest you keep the coloring part for those questions during the last few minutes when you're done answering everything.
Also, You can refer to the following books:

Emotional Design, Don't Make Me Think, Revisited: A Common Sense Approach to Web Usability (3rd Edition), Universal Principles of Design, Revised and Updated: 125 Ways to Enhance Usability, Influence Perception, Increase Appeal, Make Better Design Decisions, and Teach through Design, etc.
